Snappies
(Not available for “clips and clippie” designs) We carry 1 ¼ inch and 1 ¾ inch snap clips.
  • The 1¼” work great for little babies with just a patch of hair to grab.
  • The 1¾” work well on babies with a little more hair and will even look good on much older girls. Since older girls have thicker fuller hair, these clips are best used as an accent on a hairstyle. They can also be used to pull back a small section in the front or those bangs that are growing out.

Currently I am just listing the combinations I have made, with no other choices, but if you have a combination in mind, you can go to the “design your own” section and give me your ideas. I will be glad to custom make some for you.

Alligator clips (Clippies)

Alligator clips are the clips we all know as “clippies”. My clippies are covered in grosgrain ribbon. The bottom prong is left uncovered so they can be easily slipped through a ponytail, pigtails, or any hairstyle you make with an elastic rubber band.
You will also have an option to have these lined with a gripper lining that will make them excellent for grabbing even fine baby hair and staying in place. These gripper-lined clips are good for babies starting at 4-5 months old with a good patch of hair. They can be worn by girls into their teens as accents. The thicker and fuller hair they have, the more chance these will slip down a little and will need to be repositioned.

Now you can choose to add Gripzies! to hair bows with alligator clippie.
We use a rubber lining, but GripZies! is free of latex and also provides "gap free no slip grip” . extra charge will apply.

40mm French clips (small Clips)

These work incredibly well for girls from 2 years to 8 year old. If your girl is in this age range, I strongly recommend that you go with these. They are small enough for little ones with thicker hair, but have a great hold so they are sure to stay in place. They look best when putting one on each side, either straight on the hair or over a small pigtail or right next to larger pigtails. They also look great holding back a front strand of hair or bangs that are growing out. They are not good to hold back a large amount of hair.

50mm French clips

(Not available for “clips” and clippie” designs) These are great to hold back a large amount of hair. This is the size I use on my larger hairclips, larger crystal hairclips and larger bows. They are ideal for ages 4, tweens, and even teens! They can be worn one on each side or on a half ponytail. (Not available for “clips” and clippie” designs)

60mm French clips

(Not available for “clips” and clippie” designs) These hold an even larger amount of hair. If your girl’s hair is very thick or very curly, then choose this size.
